Daisuke Ban is a Japanese actor who has appeared in numerous films and television series. He is best known for his roles in the films “Kamikaze Girls” (2004), “The Great Yokai War” (2005), and “The Last Samurai” (2003). He has also appeared in television series such as “Kamen Rider Den-O” (2007-2008) and “Kamen Rider W” (2009-2010). Ban was born on 5 May 1947 in Kawaguchi, Saitama, Japan. He graduated from the Tokyo University of the Arts in 1971. He began his acting career in 1972, appearing in the television series “Kamen Rider V3”. He has since appeared in numerous films and television series, including “Kamen Rider Den-O”, “Kamen Rider W”, “Kamen Rider OOO”, “Kamen Rider Fourze”, and “Kamen Rider Ex-Aid”. Ban is married to actress Yoko Maki. They have two children. He is also a member of the Japan Actors Union.

A month after Shoutarou Ishinomori (the creator of KIKAIDER, INAZUMAN, etc) passed away in 1998, there was a rumor (mostly on the Internet) that Daisuke Ban died of a heart attack while having sex with a prostitute. The rumor, of course, was untrue.
