Kevin Martin is an American musician, actor, and composer. He is best known as the lead singer and guitarist of the alternative rock band Candlebox. He has also released several solo albums and acted in a few films. Martin was born in Elgin, Illinois, on April 9, 1969. He began playing guitar at the age of 12 and formed his first band at the age of 15. He moved to Seattle in 1990 and formed Candlebox in 1991. The band released their self-titled debut album in 1993, which went on to become a multi-platinum success. In addition to his work with Candlebox, Martin has released several solo albums, including his debut solo album, The Big Empty, in 2004. He has also acted in a few films, including the horror film The Unborn in 2009. Martin is currently married to actress and model, Jennifer Martin. The couple have two children together.
